Founded in 1958, College of the Desert (COD) is a highly regarded public community college in Palm Desert, the geographic center of the Coachella Valley. About 15,000 students enroll each semester, attending either part-time or full-time thanks to the College’s flexible course structures offering hybrid, in-person, or hyflex classes, including vocational and technical programs like Nursing and Health Sciences, Administration of Justice and Turf Grass Management and Ornamental Horticulture.
