Are you a student who needs help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), California Dream Act Application (CADAA), or the Chafee Grant for Foster Youth applications? If so, you’re in luck! Free financial aid workshops are available to assist you.

About the Workshops

Cash for College workshops are designed to promote various financial aid opportunities for students, including grants, scholarships, work-study jobs, and loans. These workshops cover a broad range of financial aid options, such as:

Cal-Grants: State grants that do not need to be repaid.
Middle-Class Scholarships: Financial aid for students from middle-income families.
Programs for Foster Youth: Special financial aid programs tailored for foster youth.
California Dream Act Application (CADAA): Financial aid for undocumented and AB 540 eligible students.
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): Federal student aid for U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens.

How to Get Assistance

The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) and its partnered organizations host both in-person workshops and webinars throughout California. These workshops are facilitated by CSAC’s financial aid experts who provide free assistance to students and their families. They can help you complete your FAFSA or CADAA applications and answer any questions you may have about financial aid.

All workshops are led by CSAC-Certified Trainers and are available for free to all students. To find a workshop near you, simply visit the Cash for College website. You can search for workshops by city, zip code, time, date, or workshop name.
