Copper Mountain
Community College
Copper Mountain Community College was founded in 1966. Its Joshua Tree campus was built in 1984, and it became independent of the Desert Community College District in 2001. CMC prepares students for transfer to universities, and provides CTE vocational training, with 49 associate degrees and certificates. CMC also offers Adult Education programs for GED/high school completion and ESL courses. The “Fighting Cacti” offer women’s volleyball, women’s basketball, and men’s basketball programs.
